    Description

ANTIQUE MORTON POTTERY NESTED MIXING BOWL SET
    WITH BENNINGTON ROCKINGHAM WOODLAND GLAZE
Available for purchase is a hard-to-find set of tortoiseshell spatterware glaze nested mixing bowls. This paneled shape is generally attributed to Morton Pottery Works in Morton, Illinois. Morton's earlier (prior to 1920) utilitarian works concentrated on yellow ware with Bennington/Rockingham glazes. This combination of green and brown spatter was referred to as their "woodland glaze". Morton Pottery is known for being heavy and durable with a thick glaze.
This nested bowl set includes 4 bowls of the following diameters: 8 1/4", 7", 6", and 5". The largest bowl is 3 1/2" tall and the smallest bowl is 2" tall. There ae no manufacturer markings. I purchased these bowls at an estate sale several years ago. They are
guaranteed to be an antique bowls and NOT modern reproductions.
Please feel free to check my positive feedback and buy with confidence from a trusted seller.
Condition of these antique woodland glaze bowls is VERY GOOD, especially considering their age. There is some rim roughness and spots of worn/missing glaze, but nothing I would classify as a chip. There is also glaze crazing throughout. Overall, this hard-to-find set looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would look wonderful in any kitchen or dining room with a farmhouse or primitive décor. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself. I'm confident you'll be very pleased with this purchase.
If you collect antique yellow ware with Bennington/Rockingham glazes, don't miss your opportunity to purchase this offering. It's very unusual to find an intact set of nested bowls. I usually see these bowls sold one at a time. My Buy It Now price of only is a bargain. So buy this mixing bowl set now before someone else beats you to the deal!
