    Description

    Racoon Models 1/48 Japanese Observation AUTOGYRO “Ka-Go Type1”.
    The only autogyro to see combat during WWII, the Ka-Go Type 1 was used for artillery spotting, reconnaissance and anti-submarine work. Roughly thirty were deployed and even operated from the escort carrier Akitsu Maru.
    From the Small Garage company out of Kagamigahara, Japan in the late 80’s, Racoon Models are very basic, lacking interior detail, but very accurate. They combine resin parts and white-metal details. The very limited production kits focus on many Japanese "X-planes" and are known to be very rare items. Great for any collector or the experienced builder looking for something unusual. The kit is still in its original shrink wrap.
